Sichuan 四川:

As you may know, Sichuan is very well known for its spicy food. There are hundreds of delicious local foods you can try when you are in Sichuan, and Chengdu is specially great place to taste local Sichuan cuisines.

The western part of Sichuan is home to 1.3 millions Tibetans. The landscape of the Tibetan region is diversified (to a traveller' delight!) with high peaks of snow mountains, deep valleys of forestry and fields, rushing rivers and vast grasslands. It is rich in both natural and cultural resources. The Tibetan esthetics in architecture, dresses and rituals are equally presented in monasteries, as well as in Tibetan villages and towns. This trip will take you to visit some of the core region of Khampa Tibetans. Talk with local people and listen to their stories at their cosy colorful houses in the mountains. It will also take you the valley of Gyarong Tibetans with the distinctive architecture, dresses and language. The area is dotted with 1000-year old stone watch towers and house.  We will also take you to discover the ancient Bon temples in the hidden valleys of Gyarong. Bon is the indigenous religion of Tibet before the Buddhism.  This is a trip with great foods, vibrant culture and amazing landscapes!
