Tsomo
Tsomo is from Jyekundo in Yushu Prefecture, Qinghai Province – part of the Kham Tibetan cultural region. She received a BA degree from Qinghai Normal University and majored in English. She has professional experience in several different fields. Tsomo has taught English and swimming classes, she’s worked in a development organization, and she is a licensed English tour guide and has led trips in her native Qinghai. Tsomo has been working for Tibetan Connections for more than year and a half. She’s excellent at arranging trips all over the Tibetan Plateau. In her spare time, Tsomo loves figuring out rubik’s cubes and doing yoga.
Lobsang
Lobsang is originally from Markham in the eastern part of the Tibetan Autonomous Region (TAR) but now considers Lhasa to be his home town. He studied English for three years in Lamsang Language School in Lhasa. After that he worked as a tour guide in the (TAR) for six years. The bulk of Lobsang’s customers were foreigners and he specialized in trekking tours. Lobsang is extremely knowledgeable about trekking and travel in the TAR. He has been working for Tibetan Connections for seven months. Lobsang’s hobbies are watching TV and reading.
Ga Drolma
Gadrolma is from Aba Prefecture in Sichuan Province – part of the Amdo Tibetan cultural region. She has an associate’s degree in education from Chengdu Daxue. She spent a year in Beijing studying English. Gadrolma worked for two years in the development field, mostly working hands on with local women in eastern Qinghai Province. Gadrolma has been working for Tibetan Connections for eight months. She is in charge of processing permits for the TAR.
