Departure is guaranteed with a minimum of 2 persons.
For persons entering Tibet via mainland China we will need copies of passports and Chinese visas. Persons who are entering Tibet via Nepal we need only copies of passports.
Arrival in Lhasa either by train or flight, will be received and transfered to the hotel.
Guided tour of Drepung monastery in the morning, and Sera monastery in the afternoon.
Guided tour to Potala Palace in the morning, and in the afternoon the old town, Jokhang temple, and Barkhor market.
Day 04: Day in Lhasa to rest
You are free to walk around in the old town. ( No individual or independent visits to any temples, monasteries or palaces is permitted. It is also not possible to travel to out-skirts of Lhasa by local transport on your own. It is fine to walk around in the old town, relaxing in the city. )
Day 05: Drive from Lhasa to Gyangtse – Shigatse / 370kms / 8 hrs
Early departure from Lhasa to Gyangtse. En route we will visit the Yamdrok lake with a scenic stop at Norjing Gangsang glacier. After arrival in Gyangtse we will be touring the Palchor Chode monastery including the Kumbum. In the late afternoon we continue driving through the Nying Chu river valley, passing a lot of local Tibetan villages, we will visit local families as well. We arrive in Shigatse in the evening, and stay at the Yak hotel. ( 3800m )
Day 06 : Shigatse – Shekar / 240kms / 5hrs
Spend the morning touring Tashi Lunpo monastery ( the main seat of Panchen Lama ) and the local traditional market. In the afternoon we leave Shigatse, and continue our overland trip on the friend-ship highway to Shekar with stops en route ( 4300m ), tonight stay at the Shekar hotel Economic wing.
Day 07 : Shekar – Rombuk / 90kms / 3hrs
Early departure, drive to Rombuk crossing Gyawu La pass where we have take in sunrise over EBC. Next we continue overland to Rombuk. The day is spent in Rombuk with a hike to Everest Base Camp and back. We over night at Rombuk monastery guest house or tented guest house in Za Rombuk ( 5000m )
Day 08 : Everest base camp – Old Tingri – Nyalam – Zhangmu 250kms / 8hrs
Spend a beautiful morning at base camp and then drive down to Old Tingri where we have our lunch break. We then continue our drive to Zhang Mu the border. En route we will make a short scenic stop at Thong la pass over 5000m for a panoramic view of the Himalaya. From there we have a scenic drive descending down to Nyalam and onward to Zhangmu border. We over night at Pema hotel, or a similar hotel ( 2700m )
Day 09 : Zhangmu – Kodari – Cross border
After breakfast, we drive down to the friendship bridge, go through the Chinese immigration formalities and then cross over the border, ending our tour of Tibet.
Note: Those who plan to travel back to Lhasa will stay at the border town, and rest while the other members of the tour are crossing into Nepal. In the late morning, we drive to Shigatse for an over night stay. The next day to Lhasa, and depart Tibet from Lhasa either by train or flight.

Traveling back from border to Lhasa to leave Tibet from Lhasa :
It is $95/580RMB payable on the spot for any client who plans to return from the border to Lhasa. ( This does not cover accommodation & meals )
It is no problem to arrange to arrive in Lhasa a day or two days earlier than the fixed starting date of this trip and relax here in Lhasa before start the tour with the rest of the members. This will cost the following :
$40/245RMB for a room per extra night hotel in Lhasa with breakfast included.
$55/336RMB for an arrival airport or railway transfer.
